The island of Maui has some of the most amazing sparkling crystal-blue waters, warm tropical trade winds and beautiful white sandy beaches. Some beaches offer swimming all year round, while others are best for surfing or snorkelling during certain times of the year. Depending on where you choose to stay, there are always some famous beaches nearby.

West Maui beaches:-
If you drive along the west coast of Maui from Lahaina to Kapalua, you'll see many breathtaking beaches along the coast. How about spending an exhilarating vacation at Kaanapali Beach where there is over three miles of white sand. Here there is a variety of of watersports, that includes surfing, sailboating, and even catamaran rides. The best place to visit if you love snorkelling is Black Rock at the north end of the beach, a well known part of the beach for snorkeling.

Especially good is Napili Bay where visitors just love the beautiful sandy beach, because of the lack of high rise buildings around, and the bay is protected well from waves. The Kapalua Resort in west Maui is home to Kapalua Beach, Oneloa Bay Beach, and the D.T. Fleming Beach.

South Maui Beaches:-
A good rule of thumb to remember is that on both Hawaii and Maui the further south you travel the more chance there is of having the beaches virtually to yourself as they will be less crowded.

Kihei has a beautiful six mile coastline offering you a series of fantastic beaches that have restrooms, picnic areas and some have even got lifeguards to help keep you safe. At Polo Beach and Wailea Beach you can get equipment rentals and restrooms. For those of you who prefer a more secluded beach, then an excellent place to visit is Maluaka Beach at the Maui Prince Hotel - where there is every chance that you may even encounter some green sea turtles.

Just a few miles past the Maui Prince Hotel is the huge Beach of Makena, easily one of the best beaches on Maui. The beach is large ss the name implies, and best of all you will find very few people to crowd your space. It has gorgeous white sand, restrooms and brilliant picnic facilities.

East Maui Beaches:-
The beaches to the east of Maui are certainly unlike others in Hawaii. They are simply stunning as they are surrounded by lush scenery, and the beaches are very secluded, scenic, and so colorful.

If you plan to visit East Maui then Hamoa Beach is a must. As you approach the beach from the main road, the colorful plants and palm trees are so beautiful and the sheer experience is like nothing else you have ever seen it is absolutely spectacular. As a complete contrast just off the Hana Highway is Hana Bay Beach, which offers black volcanic sand that can be as stunning as those beaches with white sand.

Another excellent beach in Maui is the Red Sand Beach, but unfortunately it is difficult to get to, this is because you'll need to find a narrow path along the coast. This beautiful beach offers excellent swimming and snorkelling, and again if you like your privacy there is every chance you will be the only one(s) there. Red Sand Beach is such that it is truly one of a kind and even though it is hard to get to, it is certainly worth the effort./p>

So if you decide to have a vacation on this paradise island and visit its stunning sandy beaches, you’re sure to have a fabulous and exhilarating time on the beautiful Pacific island of Maui.
